New single-family house

New single-family dwelling built near Lake Maggiore.

This two-storey house with basement is characterized by a central load-bearing spine.

Situated at the top of a hill, it is the first construction in a newly urbanized area.

The building was designed as a visual focus point from where the surrounding natural environment can be admired.

On the outside the structure appears as a reinforced concrete gateway from which the first floor “hangs”.

The volumes of the balconies of the first floor punctuate the main façade while the ground floor is marked by the different design of  each windows.
